SUMMARY:Sioux Empire Water Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Sioux Empire Water Festival is an educational event where area children learn about water. This precious resource is a central factor in all aspects of our lives. The goal of the festival is to increase awareness of the many uses of water and to preserve its quality for future generations. \nThe Sioux Empire Water Festival has been a resounding success! Every year\, we have been able to share this experience with over 2200 students. Our record highest year was in 2008\, when we had 2649 students in attendance. We look forward to welcoming the students again this year and have lots of great presentations and exhibitions registered already. \nAt this time\, the Sioux Empire Water Festival is for 4th grade students only. We endeavor to utilize the space\, funding donations\, and number of volunteers as wisely as possible. The presentations and exhibits have all been geared to the 4th grade level. For that reason\, students are only allowed to attend once — when they are in the 4th grade. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. \nThis year’s water festival will be held March 8 – 9\, 2022\, barring Covid-19 restrictions.
