It is a single-day event\, and participants may choose to attend either day. \nThe topics covered during the field will be objectives based actions\, planning for what you want\, converting ‘go-back’ fields to native species\,  fire\, chemicals\, cover crops\, grazing\, species mixes\, grazing strategies\, livestock integration\, fence design\, soil health\, litter\, soil temperature\, drought management\, water infiltration\, wildlife habitat\, native seed mixes\, water quality\, and invasive species. \nThe field day will be held at the Eck Site near Warner Lake in Codington County. The Eck Site is a multi-agency grassland restoration project. From Henry\, SD\, travel north on 437th Ave. (County Road 27) about nine miles to Warner Lake Road\, then west on Warner Lake Road\, and then north on Crazy Man’s Lane across the lake to the building site. From Wallace\, SD\, travel south on 437th Ave. (County Road 27) about six miles to Warner Lake Road\, then west on Warner Lake Road\, and then north on Crazy Man’s Lane across the lake to the building site. \nThe field day is free for South Dakota Grassland Coalition members and $35 for non-members. (Registration fee includes membership in the SD Grassland Coalition.)  Lunch will not be provided\, and participants should pack their own lunches. Water and restrooms will be available on site.
