My name is Courtney Geppert, and I grew up on a crop and cattle operation near Henderson, Minnesota, where my sisters and I were heavily involved in 4-H and FFA. Those roots brought me to South Dakota State University where I was involved in numerous ag groups like Little International, Agronomy club and Sigma Alpha. In the spring of 2018, I graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and a minor in Agriculture Business.
I married my husband, Colin Geppert, in July of 2020! We currently reside in Kimball SD with our son Croix! We are blessed to have a small field of our own and get to implement the 5 soil health principles within our small operation!
I am humbled to work with producers each day that are enthusiastic about improving their soil and overall operation! As we know, our world is evolving, and we cannot continue to do the same thing year after year with our land. We need to care for it like the living organism it is! As young producers we need to educate others and focus on improving what we have underneath our feet while still making a profit!
I am extremely excited to see what the Soil Health Coalition can do for producers across South Dakota.
