Each year the South Dakota Soil Health Coalition hosts a conference to bring regional and international soil health experts to South Dakota, providing agricultural producers, business professionals, agency personnel, students, and all others interested, the opportunity to learn about the importance and functions of our soils. Soil is the foundation of all life and the need to protect this valuable resource and continue to work to increase its health, is only growing!
The 2023 Soil Health Conference will be held at the Best Western Plus Ramkota Hotel in Sioux Falls, a spacious venue which will allow for a full day and a half of speaker sessions, awards, producer panels, and time to engage with sponsors. Keynote speakers include Dr. Kris Nichols, soil microbiologist involved in research and leadership in organizations and companies across the world; Rick Clark, a 5th generation Indiana producer whose goal is to build soil health and achieve a balance with Mother Nature; Mitchell Hora, a 7th generation Iowa producer and founder/CEO of Continuum Ag, a soil health data intelligence company; and Roy Thompson, a South Dakota producer connecting soil health and human health.
Registration is $50 per person, and all students at South Dakota educational institutions may attend free of charge!
