Cover Crop Planning Workshop

This workshop will discuss cover crop goals, species selection, seeding, management, grazing and termination to aid with implementation.

  • Cover crop goals and objectives, species selection, seeding rates and dates, Sara Bauder, SDSU Extension Agronomy Field Specialist
  • Hybrid rye, weed control, termination options, Peter Sexton, SDSU Extension Sustainable Cropping Systems Specialist
  • Seeding options, drill calibration, Sara Bauder and Austin Carlson, SDSHC Soil Health Technician
  • Livestock grazing cover crop considerations, Austin Carlson and Brad Rops, South Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station at SDSU Operations Manager
