September 19 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Join Dakota Lakes Research Farm for a tour of the Eisenbraun Farm Partnership, which has been farming and ranching on the same ground near Wall, SD, for seven generations. The tour will feature stops at a milo field, the operation’s compost pile (from the Fall River Feedlot), and the shop.

Scot and Tyrel Eisenbraun will discuss the following topics:

  • Crop diversification to benefit the soil and the bottom line
  • Cover crops for grazing and ground cover
  • Using compost
  • Integrating cattle on cropland
  • Air seeder and corn planter: No-tilling in a semi-arid environment

Meal to follow the program, provided by Eisenbraun Cattle Company. Please RSVP by emailing secretary@dakotalakes.com by Sept. 17 so we can get an accurate meal count.

Getting there:

Creek Rd. in Wasta
