Join Dakota Lakes Research Farm to learn how the Kleinschmidt family is adapting their operation to respond to challenging commodity prices. Benson Kleinschmidt will discuss the importance of keeping the big picture in mind and keeping an eye on not only cash crop options but also cattle, grazing, and even conservation programs. Topics include:
- Improving nitrogen use efficiency
- Using crop rotations to manage fertilizer costs
- Cultural control of weeds
- Integrating livestock on cropland
- Seed equipment modifications

From Highway 34, turn north on 318th Ave. and travel six miles.
From Highway 14, turn south on 318th Ave. and travel 12 miles.
