Join us for a day filled with education and fellowship as you tour the Menoken Farms in Burleigh County, ND! Throughout the day participants will have the opportunity to visit with area industry leaders and peers as they explore up-and-coming agriculture innovations!
Menoken Farms is a 150-acre demonstration farm in Burleigh County, ND. For the past 13 years, the objective of the farm as been to educate other producers on the importance of soil health and creating a sustainable environment moving forwards. By following the five principles of soil health, Menoken Farms has been able to enhance erosion protection, plant diversity, pollinator and beneficial insects, salinity control, livestock forage, and more.
About the host: Jay Fuhrer is a soil health specialist who has over 38 years of experience working with cropping systems, grazing systems, cover crops, and gardens. Throughout the tour, Jay will lead the conversation, explaining the purpose of the system and the importance of implementing soil health principles.
2022 Farm Features:
Busses will pickup participants in Herreid, Ipswich, Leola, and Selby early that morning between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and arrive at Menoken Farms around 10 a.m. Free lunch will be provided. Busses will arrive back later that evening.
After registration has closed, enrolled participants will receive a full schedule of evens with detailed leave times.
