Walworth County Winter Workshop

The Walworth County Conservation District is hosting a winter workshop at the Java Community Center on Wednesday February 8th! Catch up on the latest updates in conservation practices, wildlife habitat, and precision agriculture.
This is a FREE event with a complimentary meal included, homemade by Ramona Reiss of the Java Bar. Please RSVP by February 1st for accurate lunch counts by giving us a call at 605-649-7020 ext 3 or email vanessa.bodossian@usda.gov.
Agenda:
9:30am – We will begin registration with coffee/refreshments brought to you by Marin-Biel Insurance!
10:00am – Presentations begin with Jason Miller, State Agronomist from Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)- speaking on Grazing and Compaction
11am – Cristin Weber, Precision Ag and Conservation Specialist from Pheasants Forever – speaking on Precision Agriculture
12pm – Free Meal – homemade by Ramona Reiss – brought to you by Agtegra Cooperative of Java!
12:30pm – Kent Vlieger, State Soil Health Specialist from NRCS – speaking on Rangeland Soil Health
1:30pm – Thomas Zinter, Senior Farm Bill Biologist from Pheasants Forever – speaking on Pheasant Habitat
2:30pm – Kody Conlon, Private Lands Habitat Biologist from SD Game Fish and Parks – speaking on GFP programs
