  • Small Grains Conference: Rotationally Raised- Making Small Grains Work

    Centennial Student Union 620 S. Rd., Mankato, MN

    This day-long conference will cover a variety of topics about growing small grains and the benefits of an extended rotation. Nine breakout sessions throughout the day will include sessions on integrating animals with a small grains operation, marketing small grains, the agronomy behind successfully raising small grains and more. Lunch served and a reception will follow the conference.

    Gail Fuller and Lynette Miller(Kansas Farmers). "A farmer's perspective on weed resistance and herbicides"

    A round table discussion of herbicides, Dicamba and their implications for the environment.

  • North American Manure Expo 2018

    The Manure Expo has grown to an annual educational and demonstration event. The event has been hosted by Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Iowa, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania in the US and Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

  • Minnehaha County Summer Workshop

    Come and Learn about grazing, alternative forages and soil health from both a scientist’s and producer’s perspective. Lunch, snacks, and door prizes will be provided!

    This workshop is designed to pro-vide information to producers about alternative systems that are becoming more mainstream and their economic factors.

  • Tripp County Range Workshop

    St. Mary's Hall 305 W. 3rd St., Winner, SD

    -Participants will meet at St. Mary's Hall parking lot at 2:00 pm where transportation to the site will be provided.

    -The workshop will include information on:
    A livestock watering system that utilizes a solar pumping system and storage tanks which gravity feeds rubber tire water tanks. Extensive rotational grazing systems which will include pasture sizes, grazing duration, and alternative fencing systems. Range plant ID, indicators of rangeland heath, stocking rates, and drought planning.
