Rosebud Range Workshop

Adult Workshop
Thursday, July 27, 9:00-12:00 pm CST

In addition to information on culturally important plants, NRCS and SDSU Extension staff will discuss grazing and rangeland management. Topics covered will include plant identification, similarity index, how to measure pasture forage production, and how to monitor pasture usage during the grazing season. Range management kits will be provided to help participants with plant identification and grazing monitoring.

Youth Workshop
Thursday, July 27, 1:00 – 4:00 pm CST

This is not your ordinary classroom! Youth, ages 8-18, will be transported to nature’s classroom to have hands on learning about grasses, forbs, and shrubs while also learning the importance of these plants to the Lakota people and culture.

LOCATION: Rosebud Sioux Tribal Ranch is 2.5 miles south on BIA Road 1/HWY 18 junction

LUNCH – Sponsored by the Tribal Ranch from 12:00-1:00 pm
