The Soil Health Institute (SHI) today announced its 5th Annual Meeting will go virtual.

As previously announced, the annual meeting will be July 30-31. An agenda and more information on how to register will be available in early May.

60-inch Corn Virtual Tour

Tour plots of corn in Garretson and Twin Brooks, SD, planted on 60-inch rows with cover crops interseeded from the comfort of your home or tractor cab! SD Soil Health Coalition Technicians Austin Carlson and Baylee Lukonen will lead the tour and answer questions. Tour starts at 1 p.m. Pre-registration is required by 10 a.m. on Aug. 6. West River Grazing School – SDGC

The Grazing School is designed for producers andanyone with an interest in learning how to best manage grasslands to benefit livestock.
The agenda features presenters from state and federal agencies, and universities. Area producers share their expertise about various topics related to grazing techniques and grassland management.
Participants will hear presentations in the classroom and gain experience with hands-on activities in the field with a pasture allocation activities with cattle at the Guptill Ranch.
Space is limited. Early registration is encouraged to participate.
